Taken at the old Grammar School and I know all the names, but I cannot put an year to the picture.Sadly some of those in the picture have passed on.

It must be later than 1950. Joey Tait is the teacher and in the back row, 5th from the right, is Billy Sutherland.

I would think these kids would only be born about 1950. I would put a date of about 57/58

Thanks Wullie. I remember Esther now. She had a younger sister in my class called Louise (not sure if it is spelt like this) See picture #26721
She is in the back row 4th from the left. They didn't stay long in Orkney.
I remember poor Janice Spindler. Her mum was a friend of ours. Super photo.

My brother Karl Otto Thomsen, son of Kirkwall Grammer School teacher Otto Thomsen is 5th from the left middle. Sadly the family have been unable to contact him regarding the passing of our mother Joyce in 2014. If anyone knows his where abouts please contact me 07711269696 (Anne Thomsen sister)
