Jack-Up at Billia Croo. Summer 2011

Comments:
This must presumably be 'Deep Diver', but it doesn't look like her. Was there more than one jack-up working at Billiacreu (sorry, I prefer the old spelling) in the summer of 2011?

Most likely 'Excalibur' Ian, one of very few jack up barges with eight legs although we can't confirm that in this photo. She appears in a few other images on this site.

Did the Excalibur work there too , would be easier identified seeing the other end o' her...

The Excalibur jack up barge was at Lyness before doing its work at "Billia Croo" she then returned to Lyness before departure to another job.
A very intresting pees o kit aal tell thee. She was able to drop the eight legs in free fall and could jack all the way up in 25 mins also could add extentions to the legs to work in deeper water if need be
In all a very usefull vessel indeed and a great crew aboard I enjoyed there time at Lyness.
