This was the 1977 Stromness Golf Club float in the Shopping Week parade - Roots (1st Equal) This float was based on the popular TV programme of the same name. This is the only picture I have of this float and unfortunately the quality is not the best. Cast l to r - Keith Edinborough, Ollie Tait, Chris Reiter, Skip MacIver and Abbo Thomson - (missing from pic) Tommy Wishart, Jimmick Sutherland, Alfie Flett and Neil Cargill. If anyone has any pics of this float or any other Golf Club floats and you are prepared to let me make a copy please email me.
