I was not guilty of taking this photo at such a strange angle or in the club having so many drams that I can't remember, but what was going on that day at Lyness? Photo developed Oct 1974.

It was a huge training of the forces, they were all over Hoy. The helicopters came in with ones off the ships that were in the flow, they came to play football on the pitch at Lyness.It seemed to go on for hours.
