In a comment on picture #25063 I said I wouldn't post this one, unless someone asked. Well, someone has asked, though not the someone I half-expected. So here it is, and my offer of free prints still stands (for both pics - together or separately - or just one).

Sorry Ian, I had meant to phone you when you first mentioned this but then it completely slipped my mind. What a splendid job you've made - it looks just like the hand-tinted photos that were in vogue at the time.

Thank you Paul, but the point is do you want the prints? They are just occupying shelf-space with me because I don't have an address for off-loading them. However, as you can probably download and print them for yourself, I'll be content to look on them as a pleasant exercise in image manipulation - or gilding the lily - which is how it began.
