1st Orkney R. G. A. (Royal Garrison Artillery) Volunteers. Photograph dated as 1902. The photograph is of the Officers and Sergeants of No. 6 Company of the R. G. A. (Holm Company).
Reading from left to right are standing : Company Serg.-Major Sutherland, Company Serg.-Major Redfearn (Sergt. - Instructor), Sergt. Chrystall and Sergt. Hepburn and seated are Sergt. Wooldrage, Lieut. A. Muir, Capt. A. Walls and Lieut. J. A. Sinclair. Six of the men are wearing Volunteer Long Service and Good Conduct Medal which was issued on completion of 20 years service in the ranks

Still desperately tring to find relatives of my Sinclair line. Can anyone give me more information on this J.A.Sinclair.

I have a Martini Henry Artillery Carbine which was issued to the 1st Orkney Artillery Volunteer Force in 1894.
