Thanks for the info I'll need to add that to the back of the photo. In them days he would have had to stay on the island all night likely until the job was done but my memory lets me down, didn't stay with us and I don't mind him at the Royal.

I mind Mr Wylie building the plinth and he was so proud to be doing it, he worked wae great care. The plinth is a credit to him, I mind him sayan" some o the stones the widdows took fae the beach at the ayre o brims, aye he was a good man, and may he aye be remembered for his work.
