Sunken limpet

In connection with John Moar's comment on picture #869, here's a shot taken in 1978 at the west shore, Stromness, of a limpet in a pit almost as deep as itself. Presumably generations of limpets had used the same site and gradually eroded the rock. The site was in a rather narrow vertical cleft in the rock - good for the limpet no doubt, but bad for photography.
