Hi!Alan,there was an old saying that Shapinsay Pier was built on empty Special Brew Bottles, knowing some that worked on it, I am not surprised. Added by Phil Brough.

Yes, Alan, Mr.& Mrs Brough were my grandparents and Maggie my auntie. As you might know John Isbister was a brother to your wife's grandmother who lived up East Road on the corner of Berstane Rd. Added by Phil Brough.
