Water Buffalo, as seen in Orkney

This is a crawler called a Water Buffalo made in 1951 by Cuthbertson . They only made 19 of these machines. They were designed to pull a plough for drainage work on bogs and mountains. This is a similar machine to that used in 1967 to get the equipment to film the Old Man of Hoy .

This machine was new in Shetland and purchased by Major Winton . The machine is owned by myself in Orkney .
