P A Sutherlands pre-fab houses. Much of Reid Cresent is of this design. Due to the reinforsing in the sections coroding folk struggled to get mortgages on them for a time.

I think this will be the house called CALES in Reid Crescent. I too built one of these houses in Reid Crescent. With a wee bit more attention to detail in the finished work I cannot understand what way this design of house did not catch on.

No, I dont think that is the same crane, it looks a lot smaller than the old pier crane.

Sutherlands did also have the former Pier crane but suspect this one was handy for getting in to restricted sites.
