This Tornado was filmed over Harray, Sorry about the quality of the picture i was in a moving car when i took the photo.

No need for apology over quality. A well caught moment. Did the funnel-cloud touch down on ground?

Typing Tornado into the Advanced Search box brings up 3 more funnel clouds. picture #21700 looks to be in a similar place to yours (and I've seen one there myself a couple of times). The other two were shot on consecutive days (21 & 22 May 2009) but in locations some 15 miles apart - South Walls & Kirkwall.

As i drove through Harray near it the grass was getting a good blow and the cattle were running.It was quite a loud windy noise with it.

I mind wan o them whirlwinds way back aboot the early 1950's.. it was near calm and a lovely day, the tide was high and we were just aboot tae shove the dinghy in the water, when this roaring whirlwind came across Longhope bay, it came very close by us and threw gravel and seaweed in the tidemark up in the air,and threw the dinghy ower on her other side. It only affected an area aboot 30ft wide, but the power was horrendous.
