I thought visitors to this site might like to see some Orkney related records, so to kick things off is the "Owre The Ferry" EP - for ten points, name the other track on the flip side, pop pickers!
[I can't help feeling that 'Accompanist S. Windwick on guitar' might have the inside track here! But so do I as I have a copy in front of me as I type... - Steven]
[P.S. I also have Phoenix EPP102 'Andrew Sinclair sings Country and Western']
[P.P.S I have an Alphabeats sound clip from Alan Hale waiting to go up here too, once I get round to a bit of format conversion]

As well as Angus Findlater, Andrew Sinclair, Billy Jolly, and The Vikings Dance Band all recorded with Phoenix Records in 1965. Dougie Shearer was the producer and the recording engineer was Bertie Stockan. The recordings were made behind the curtain in the Phoenix Cinema. No fancy digital stuff in those days. Just two microphones and either a British Ferrograph or Vortexion reel to reel tape recorder.
