This was our first year at the newly completed Kirkwall Grammar School. (The gymnasium/pool complex was up and running the previous year causing great fun getting to and from the old school for PE.) The class was a combination of students from Holm West Primary School (see photo 2485), the Isles, and Kirkwall.

Last on the right middle row is Alice Rendall, we were once very good friends in the 1970s and I would very much like to get in touch with her again if anyone knows her married name and where she might be living these days? I last saw her in Aberdeen in the summer of 1980! I know she got married in St.Magnus Cathedral about 1978 or 79.

I have just visited this page - OMG I am amazed that it is here. I remember everybody so well and miss everybody so much - Terry - I remember we were good friends and I would love to hear from you again. In fact I am coming up to Orkney this year - first time in probably 20 years. Very best wishes to everybody - I hope to see you again one day! Paul
