Yes Phil you've got everyone correct. The date though would have been nearer 1951 just prior to going to the Higher Grade. I only started wearing specs in the highers.(don't wear them any more!)I'm sure this was the qualifying class, teacher Pansy Taylor. Quite a few of these faces no longer with us sadly.

Thank you kindly for submitting this photo. It's the first time that I have had the chance to see my mum, Janet MacGillivray, in a school photo. Sadly mum passed away in 2005.
