Albert Rendall was my grandfather - he had a copy of this photo, which I remember seeing many years ago. If I recall correctly he said this was taken near the completion of the build. I also believe he worked, as a stonemason, on other NLB projects, although I'm not sure where.

Interesting that you have the name Jim Foubister on our photo and my mother being Foubister makes a connection, I think the man named Jim Foubister is the same as the chap with the light coloured bib and brace on top of the photo of the lighthouse, picture #24466 and picture #24467. Thank you
