This is a postcard of the lighthouse on the Brough of Birsay being built. The writing on the back says "Dear Bessie this is a pc of the Brough of Birsay you will see Uncle Jim on the top it is not finished yet when this was taken it will be twice as high when the light goes on. Hope you are all well as it leaves us best love from Aunty Lottie." My mother was Bessie Foubister her mother was Ritch both Deerness but I cant place Jim and Lottie. If anyone can help I would be delighted.
