I've been informed that this is my great grandparents, Jane Jemima Smith (Fiddler), born 30 Nov 1859, in South End, Stromness. Died 08 Apr 1936, in Glower Birsay and William Adamson, born c1854 in Lower Palace, Birsay. Died 04 Oct 1936, in Glower Birsay. They were married on 15 Jan 1880, in Glower Birsay. I suspect this photo was taken about 1930, possibly to celebrate their Golden Wedding. See also picture #24232 and picture #24234.
