Great set of pictures Ernie, i always enjoy seeing anything about Westray.I am a descendant of the Longhouse Rendalls so we may well be related. Are you based in Westray.?
Added by Angus Main on 05 October 2010
Aye Angus, we will be related then. Robbie o' Longhouse (Now Dead) was a cousin of my father. I havent lived in Westray for about forty five years.

Hi Ernie
The two ladies are: at front, my grandmother Jean Pottinger Rendall and her sister Christina (Teenie) Meil Rendall. I am also submitting a photo of the whole Rendall family of Saverton.

Possible connection. Great Grandfather, Samuel Drever married May Rendall aprox 1840. A Mary Drever maried James pottinger. Catherine Drever married James pottinger. All of Westray.

Christina (Teenie) was my mother Marian's great aunt. Teenie helped raise my mother (daughter of James Logie Rendall) after the death of my grandmother Emma.

Hi Ernie, I am interested more about the Rendalls from Westray and wonder if you might have some information about them; I am researching the Rendalls who lived in the Westray lighthouse for a time, John Rendall and Elizabeth Scollay. My email is [email protected]
