Headstone in Ousna Kirkyard

Some time back much interest in the sad loss of the Waas herring boat "Maggie", wrecked with all hands in the Westray Firth. On Sunday evening I walked around the "Ousna" Kirkyard and found the above head stone to the Thomson family from "Burrowstoon". After so much death at an early age this son John was lost in the "Maggie" 25th June 1890 aged only 17. I will continue my quest on this matter as such matters are so much a part of our heritage and must not ever be allowed to be lost from our history.
