A busy Saturday at Kirkwall Pier approximately 1998. This view will never be visible again. The Black building which can be seen on the sky line has been demolished as have the grain silos on the pier, the MV Contender is no longer with us and I'm sure that rusty steel beam on the lower left corner of the picture has also gone.
