Royal visit

Royal visit 1960. This pic ties in with picture #3057 posted a long while ago.
The rain-soaked man, moving so fast to grasp Her Majesty's hand that he is just a blur, is my late father Tom (TNF) Hourston. I'm not sure why he had this honour, as he was no longer Provost. Mrs Rosetta Groundwater (between my Dad and the Queen in the photo) held that office.
I think the lady exchanging pleasantries with HRH Prince Philip is Mrs J E P Robertson. Perhaps he was enquiring how she came by her heavily strapped right wrist.
