James was the son of Donald Johnston of the Longhope, Hoy area (Burnhouse)

James was my grandfather.

James had 6 brothers who grew up there in the early 1900's

James left Orkney and went to Ontario, Canada about 1922.
He married in 1940 and had 4 children

I believe that picture #26576 is my grandfather on the right wearing the same hat...
