Hi Robert

I agree, they do look very much Johnston...but I don't recognize who exactly they are at first once over. The couple on the right look a lot like my grandparents.

I think the date is earlier than 1960 by the hats the gents hold ..maybe 40's or 30's?

Where did the picture come from..and could I get an enlarged copy to look at?

thanks

Richard J.

Hi again Robert

Ok I figured it out from your close up on facebook.....that's James Johnston and Agnes Sutherland on the right, and their 3 children, Gordon, James and Dennis.
I believe the couple on the right is my grandparents, Jim and Bessie. The middle gentlemen is still not known.... Jim and James were first cousins

I believe I have everyone figured out..
Starting from the right side...

James Johnston with his son Dennis, His Wife Agnes (nee Sutherland)
In the back is Alex (Sandy) Windwick, - see picture 12325 ... with James and Agnes son Gordon in front
Then its Bessie Burnet (to later become Bessie Johnston, James (Jim) Johnston with James Cameron Johnston (James and Agnes's second son) in front of him.

Not sure where the picture was taken..not either of James or Jim's homes..maybe Sandy's home in Toronto?

The young child here, Dennis was born in 1930..so this picture is 1930-32
