I know it is common practice to relate all prehistoric tumuli and "buildings" to the Picts but while not being an archaeologist I would suggest this structure dates from about the age of Skara Brae, Neolithic and about 3 to 4000 years before the first mention of Picts. Is there any record of this site being fully excavated or does this photo show the full extent of the digging?
