Click to View The mystery picture (left) demystified. It is part of the garage that opens onto the Albert Street car park, where the Tree Bakery lane comes out.

I imagine the garage is not in constant use.

Comments:
The garage belongs to Mrs Violet Couper who is well into her 90's, she used to drive a car and I was told when I was a bairn that she drove a dust cart in the war.

The Garage is indeed Violet Coopers, she lives in the house at the back, the car belongs to Karen her grand daughter. Violet was 99yrs in March, born down at Twart Close, on Shore St. She is a sister of my Grandfather the late Bill Bews.

Violet Couper is my great aunt, who was part of the family that fostered and unofficially adopted my grandfather Kenneth (orig Keldie who then changed his name to Couper). I stumbled upon this whilst trying to do some family tree research :) I'd be grateful if anyone with knowledge of my grandfather/ his birth mother Charlotte Lottie Mary Keldie could email me!

Hi Brian and Beryl! I remember you from London Brian and I'm sorry to hear about Violet passing away Beryl. I'd love to hear more on what you/ your cousin have discovered. Hazel has probably got lots of notes for me to look at- she knows I'm interested in family histories so ill have to check with her. Hope you are all well :)
