I'm minded of my old friend Wullie Seatter who was a fireman on her. He had the name 'Norna' tattooed on his arm. He loved his job did Wullie.

Sumteeik - I remember a Bullo Seatter who worked on the Norna, a brother to George. Would this be the same fine man? They sang around the islands. Their mother lived in one o' the lanes off Bridge Street near the pier.

Aye, that's him lass (no seen you since MacCameron's '78). He and Geordie lived with their stepmother up the lane between Leitch's and the Coop butcher shop. Were they twins?

Don't think they were twins. (Good heavens - Ma'Cameron's was 1972/74 for me and I've no been back since - those were the days. Do I know you Sumteeik?)

Didn't think they were twins. Willie had twin girls.

That's right Margret; he had twin girls - one called Elizabeth. Mum goes to the Gilbertson Day Centre and a few weeks ago the twins were there singing and playing the accordion and the organ. They call themselves The Egilsay Band. I think there were two men in the band as well as the twins.
Did Billo no have a farm up the Heddle Hill called Heddle? I think he was also on the Orcadia as a night watchman and also a cook on Flotta.

Built by Wm Denny yard at Dumbarton in 1959 twin diesel engines by British Polar I think. Converted to a private yacht in the late 80s when sold by DAFS last saw her in Norway a few years ago.
I think you'll find it was the coal fired "Longa" that Willie Seatter was on though he may have become a motorman on the "Norna" after the "Longa" was scrapped.

He might have been on the old steam "Norna" which was still around in the 40's

I sailed with Wullie Seatter on the Switha and still sing a song that he made up about the skipper
