Near Vryburg in South Africa. The town was named buy an Orcadian doing some gold mining - Fraser I think!

Right, 'Ingang na ...' is Afrikaans, so it is Orkney, North West (province), Republic of South Africa. The place is approx. 130 miles SW off Johannesburg.

Year 1984. Fred and the late Mrs Roberta H.Campbell (nee Stevenson,"NORHAVEN",Cromwell Drive,KW15 1NR). My brother and mother, Roberta traveled from Kirkwall to South Africa for a holiday at the age of 56 on her own it was her first time out of the UK. Fred worked for Babcock Boilers in the Orange Free State building a new coal fired power station which also produced synthetic petrol from coal as South Africa has little oil. Fred a marine engineer is still traveling the world with Babcock's,in general he will spend 10 to 20 years in one country. He is currently in the US and has lived in Australia.
