Can anyone identify the group and the blokes in it... possibly mid/late fifties?
The only one I recognise is my Dad, Sam Gorn, on the end, in the dark jacket.
I can see that there's an insignia badge on each person but I cant work out what it is.

The man with the scarf in the back row is Norman Brass who had a shop in Main Street.

I still think that this is the uniform of the civil defence corps. Sam Born is wearing the navy blue uniform and the other men are wearing the brown work overhaul uniforms except Norman Brass who has his coat on.

Hi
Yes, definitely Civil Defence (The guy on the right has the usual CD badge with the area badge underneath it). Definitely not Observer Corps.

The central motif of the Civil Defence badge is a lion passant. The badges above seem to have the Observers' watchman. Any keen-sighted viewer care to comment?
