A Dougie Cooper picture, November 1964. I believe this is the man himself.

Thanks for the comments. I have to say it's down to the expertise of David Mackie at the Orkney Archives that the slides were digitised and made available. Dougie's sister Peggy kept them in Edinburgh after Dougie died in 1983, she brought them back to Orkney a few years ago and I passed them on to Bobby Leslie, the then Chief Librarian, who instantly saw their value as 'documentary' photographs. I think you'll find the best is yet to come as there are a lot of football team and ba game photos!

So far the photos have been brilliant, but I'm looking forward to the 'older' photos.
Would I be right in saying that Dougie was a Hotspur man?

Lovely to see my Uncle Doug's photo. I remember him making his beer as a child. I'm his niece, Peggy's daughter.
