The view has changed significantly even since April 2002, with the Phoenix gone and buildings up in its place, and the field behind being developed.
It seems a long time since John Scollay and me (Steven Heddle) watched the gasholder, situated where the caravans are now, being knocked down, before cycling to the Atholl for our regular Saturday glass of lemonade and two sausage rolls.
