A Tom Kent picture of the doorway of St. Olaf's Curch in St. Olaf's Wynd.
The cross pattern in the carvings is clearly visible in this picture, and indeed was in a similar state when we went to draw it when at Kirkwall Primary School in the seventies. Not much left now though.
The date is an estimate.

What a shame that the stonework couldn't have been conserved in some way. If it's gone from the condition shown in the photograph to the way it is now in 80 years or less there'll not be much left in another 20.....
