To follow up on the Memorial picture from 1923, here is one from last Monday, May 3rd 2004, taken on my first ever visit to the Covenanters' Memorial, believe it or not.
It's a shame that the look of the plaque is spoiled by the date Aug 1888 which seems to have been added as an afterthought.
Anyway, it tells the story of why the memorial is there.
