I have seen cannons used as bollards somewhere else, cant remember exactly where, it was on the west coast, maybe Port Askaig, on Islay. Jimmy Hamilton

The pier at the Hall of Tankerness has a cannon sticking out of it like this. Supposedly it's off the same ship as the one at the Ness of Tankerness, and there's another in the sea below the ness.

Am I right in thinking the story can be traced by viewing picture #914, picture #3785, picture #3786 and picture #3787? Or are these different cannons?

There were also cannon bollards at the old weighbridge but the other way up.See picture #3550
