Many mornings and evenings I was with Alfie Redland who opened and closed this old Kirk. What memories! Marion, from Maine, USA, descendant of Magnus Redland of Orkney.

I am eager to visit! My 3x GGParents were married by Rev. Clouston in 1830, a few years before this Kirk was built. But Rev. Clouston did baptize all their children, including my 2x GGM in 1837, whose middle name was Clouston, for the Reverend. My family name is Irvine (with Garson and Corrigal being big ones too). They left for Canada in 1847. My 2x GGM above--her Corrigal sister married a Corrigal as well, the ones who lived at Corrigal Farm Museum. Would love to hear more stories of St Peter's and the area! Maybe find living relatives! Thank you--the pictures are all beautiful and helps confirm why loving the waters runs through me! (I also grew up on water in Michigan, USA)
