Was she called the Isle of Tiree at one time, ? used to carry Calor gas from Oban
to the western isles, belonged to Cunningham's from Scalpay Harris, if Iam wrong she was the same build.

Hi jimmy, the Isle of tiree was another line boat, was called caledonian or something like that can't remember right.

she was the Caledonian.

So sad to see. My uncle (the Captain at that time)allowed me to take the wheel from Aberdeen to Peterhead in 1966 when I was eleven years old. I still cherish that time. The Radiation was beautiful.

The Radiation spent a lot of the late 90s being refurbished in the Victoria Dock Dundee by the associates of the RNXS. My father Duncan Macdonald was part of it and as such I'm pleased to say I spent many hours working on her. Does anyone have any news as to her now.

Good day all, this post is many years after the last was posted but I would like to know if anyone knows what happened to the Radiation in the end, as my grandfather built the Radiation and I am trying to locate any current picture or the actual ship if it still exists?
