Westray Skiff 'Earnest'

Further to picture ref #10471 this is one of the vessels listed - K444 'Earnest' which is still in good condition and seaworthy 71 years after she was built in Papa Westray in 1937 by James Rendall of Cuppin for Captain Robbie Gray, a former Captain on ss 'Earl Thorfinn'. At the helm is the late Jim Mowat of Cleat, Westray, whose own 'big skiff', the 19 foot Curlew' is also still in existence and seaworthy. [Thanks for this pic Rob- Steven]
