'The Sun rising over Rousay Sound (Egilsay near distance, Eday on the horizon), 2005 September 3 at 05 30 UT. The sky bears the fruits of our human imprint - the remnants of a handful of aircraft condensation trails. Somewhere behind that lot before the Sun rose was the planet Mercury, bright at - 1.1 magnitude (almost as bright as Sirius), but blanked out by the trails.'
