The 'Celtic' of Chester

A Tom Kent picture showing this ship wrecked at the Bay of Skaill on the 9th August 1907.
Picture added on 02 May 2005
Comments:
There is still a small quantity of this Ship left although it is only a small part of the Bow
Added by Michael Brass on 07 January 2007
What a shame, that ship is lovely.
It would be nice to see a section in this (excellent) library devoted to ships.

[Good idea- I'll add a 'Ships and boats' album and add some of the older pictures to it (someday)- Steven]

Although this ship was registered in Chester she was owned in Arklow. I think her master was Captain Hall and a younger Captain Hall was a shareholder in the Arklow Shipping Company in recent years.
