I think the workmans name was James Drever he lived out Cromwell Road/Drive area. The height he is at looks like top of the projection room walls.--Kenny Thomson may be able to help with name.

My dad worked on the building of the Phoenix as an apprentice mason with OBs, and is positive this is Jock Thomson, mason. Robbie Sinclair was another mason on this job, and Peter Baikie was their foreman.
