Chimney Fire

A good going chimney fire in Quoybanks Place on the 14th January, 1989. The house on the left (Holm Road) no longer has a chimney. Note the old style TV aerial.

Comments:
I don't know if it was on this occasion, but the usual gang of kids were watching the firemen at a fire somewhere in Kirkwall and one peedie boy asked if they would be here long because they were right where the chip van stands. Must get your priorities right! I think it was Tich Sutherland told me that one.
