Is this at Craigiefield House? Did it have tracks and if so where did it go to?

This is Craigiefield House. This train was parked on a very short length of track. I think it belonged to a Mr Ron Spiers (Spears?). Can anyone confirm this and tell me why anyone would want to own a train in Orkney? (No offence to the Rotary kids train).

As far as I know it went back south. It wasn't too "chuffed" with Orkney

It was brought to Orkney as part of a plan to build a short tourist line using track from Lyness, however the plan fell through (anyone know any more about that?). After leaving Orkney, the engine spent time at the Strathspey Railway and is now currently at the East Sommerset Railway awaiting an overhaul. I think it's for sale as well of anyone is interested.:P
