Early part of the demolishion of what was the old school hostel,oic engineering offices, gpo/bt offices to make way for the 2 new houses.

Council engineering offices were where other houses built not in this part.

The building being demolished was the old Telephone Engineering Centre, the houses on the right are on the site of the old Licensing Office. The old Post Office hostel is now the Scottish Youth Hostel Association.
