Peter writes:
'This one from the old family collection.....taken on Christmas Day 1955.....contains a lot of "weel kent" faces in their day....sadly not many of them left today. This one ended in the water, let's hope a few more do soon!'

My Grandad Billy Johnston getting right squashed at the bottom middle of the picture. Nearly didn't recognise him with big dark hair!

The quality of this photo is fantastic, this can be expanded without fear of distortion. You would do well to get this quality today!

I think it's only fair to say that this photo was subjected to some "Digital Magic", known as Adobe Photoshop Elements, but the original was very good to start with

Peter, this Ba' Photo is the ultimate as a Who's Who of the Ba' players. Absolutely too many to name, but I am on the far left wearing the white polo neck gansey, in line with "Waasie" in the middle. Down at the bottom right corner is the late Dougie Liddle who I went to school with. P.S.Peter could you send me your email address regarding the picture we spoke about. Thanks.Phil.

To Ed: when I access the link for the larger version, I get the following error - the specified key does not exist.486.jpg
[Hi Fred- this is a consequence of our money-saving move to Amazon S3 hosting for the older pictures in the image library. Most of the pictures don't have a larger version, but with this hosting we can't actually check for the presence or absence of a picture before adding the link. So the link is added just in case, and if there is no big picture you get the behaviour you noted. A bit aggravating indeed, but it saves us £400 per year - Steven]
