Houton Head Gun Emplacements

2 of 3 the gun emplacements built on the shore under Houton Head. See how the bottom looks to be built with beach stone, the a concrete hut set on top. Steps have been cut into the cliff to get down to them

These are searchlight emplacements to cover the area between Houton and Scad Heads, between which there was an anti-MTB boom with submarine nets below. The guns were on top of Houton Head and another battery was sited at Scad.
