One of 3 gun emplacements built on the shore under Houton Head. See how the bottom looks to be built with beach stone, the a concrete hut set on top. Steps have been cut into the cliff to get down to them

Cracking picture ... do you know if you can still get access from the top...I can only assume that their ammo came in by sea... a sight I only saw once from a boat.. many thanks for the picture

These were search light positions.The guns were higher up the head. 2 12pdr quick firing guns.
