I remember them well. Lived there from approx 1983/4 till april 1995. Stood and watched them being dismantled.

Aye Sandy, and right behind the one on the left is the farmhouse of Netherbutton where I grew up from October 1945, when I was six years old until we left there in in October 1959. When I look back on all the places I have stayed, Netherbutton will always be home. The pylons were the landmark, with the red lights on top and halfway down, that guided us home - but of course that was before they pulled two down and desicrated the other two by changing the tops of them. I have a photo somewhere that I took the day they pulled the first two down and I will post it when I find it.
