'It was September 1988, I seem to remember construction- was it a new pier or alterations to an existing one? The telephone box was on the shore, a strange location I thought at the time. Along side is a broadcaster? So we have two broadcasters old and new. I wonder if they are still there.'

Steven it is Egilsay not Eday as you have entered. I remember now, it was a new pier and the phone box was to the side of it .

Pretty sure this is not Eday pier, could that be Rousay in the background.

Phone box is long gone, the payphone was placed in the new waiting room, and the red box removed years ago
