Brandyquoy park viewed from Cathedral

A picture taken by Alan from the spire of the cathedral showing Brandquoy Park (scene of the Cathedral's octocentenary celebrations shown in the pictures sent in by Peter Burges) when it still housed the much loved putting green, before it became another bowling green.

Comments:
The old and the new in contrast with the greenery on show, the trees mask off a corner that we cannot see below. A community that flourishes from early dawn till late, and will endeavour to play the game royally no matter whatever is their Fate.

I'm curious about the building that nestles in the trees, there's nothing said about it from the caption of the lees. Is the skeletal remains fixed as our history dictates will remain, or just one of those forgotten relics that the boundaries have linked to our thoughtful strain.
