Coils of plaited rope beside the Peedie Sea. I wonder why they were there? Prestos in the background, with the old huts opposite - on the other side of the road.

My guess would be that the rope is there either before or after a clean up operation of the Peedie Sea. When the Power Station was still in constant use, the part of the Peedie Sea that was used as cooling water for the engines, always had a heavy weed growth floating about on the surface, a small amount can be seen in the photo. This was skimmed of by dragging ropes over the surface of the water.
